Why do we reach out?
Since the beginning of time, God has impressed upon our hearts to give and be generous.
1. To fulfill the Great Commission
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. Matthew 28:19-20
2. God blesses us so we can bless others
And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great, and thou shalt be a blessing. Genesis 12:2
3. True faith in Christ will result in good deeds
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10
4. We should not shut our ears to the hungry
Share your food with the hungry, and give shelter to the homeless. Give clothes to those who need them, and do not hide from relatives who need your help. Isaiah 58:7
5. We should serve the poor and feed our enemies
Whoever oppresses the poor insults his maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors him. Proverbs 14:31
6. To Glorify God
For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. Mark 10:45
We support several local community outreach partners through hands-on serving and financial gifts.
Bent Tree supports and develops missionaries who are sent out to share the Gospel to around the world.
